James Tayler - Mudgeeraba

JAMES TAYLER is running as a FAMILY FIRST PARTY candidate, for the seat of Mudgeeraba.

James says ‘During this global financial crisis, the fundamental things apply. The values of family, marriage and house affordability are values worth fighting for.

A Mudgeeraba and Gold Coast resident for 35 years, James is 57, married with a family, and he is employed in his own local professional civil engineering consultancy.

In representing Mudgeeraba, in parliament, James says ‘my engineering background should help, because engineers are trained to provide solutions and not create problems’.

James enjoys his family; he says, ‘it is hard work but lots of fun. The memories make it all worthwhile.’ James considers that daylight saving is not helpful for families with small children.

James worked on the GCC council commissioned, Gold Coast Sewage Disposal Study 1976, and currently is also working with Gold Coast Water Watch and is opposed to polluting our pristine Hinze Dam water with re-cycled sewage and the S6 poison-‘flouride’.

As a way out of this global financial crisis, James favours that Queensland immediately invest in huge infrastructure projects like the water supply project, known as the Bradfield Scheme, to bring water from north Queensland.

James has also been involved in local community youth and children’s work for twenty five years and favours establishment of youth mentoring facilities.
