Jesse Webb - Mansfield
Jesse has lived in the Mansfield area for almost 3 years, residing in Wishart with his wife, Tahnee, and their 15 month old daughter, Imogen. Having found that the Mansfield area is a brilliant place to raise a family, Jesse and his family have recently moved to a new home in Mt Gravatt East.
Although only 22, Jesse has a proven track record of hard work and commitment, having completed High School, on the Sunshine Coast, with an OP2 and a number of Honours, including the Lion’s Community Service award for the area.
Jesse believes that gaining a strong education will allow him to serve the community with most effectiveness. To that end, he is completing a dual degree in Law/ Politics at Griffith University’s local Nathan campus. In order to complete his study and provide sufficiently for his young family, Jesse is also currently employed in two part-time positions, as an assistant at a local greengrocer and as an executive assistant for Family First Queensland, working from their local office in Mt Gravatt.
Jesse truly understands some of the challenges faced by Queensland families and personally knows what it is like to face some hard social challenges. Jesse understands the detrimental effect these issues have on families and children. Jesse intends to draw from his experiences in order to bring support and understanding into the legislative process, providing real support for struggling families.
Although Jesse has 7 siblings, he was raised, for the majority of his childhood, as an only child, in a single parent home. Through this experience, Jesse is certain that the ideal family situation is one where children are raised in a loving home with a mother and father active and present – This is the type of household that Jesse will strive to provide for his own children.
Jesse believes that Mansfield already has great access to infrastructure, an active and friendly working community and is well positioned to face the economic challenges presently being faced by Queensland and the world – He does realise, however, that Mansfield faces some real social threats and to this end he is proud to represent family first and provide positive policies that will benefit the family unit, the community and the State at large.
